Dear All,
While reading the comments about narkomauka vs. taraskievica, as well as the
compendium discussion, I realized that I am lacking statistics on the
Belarusian translation effort.
I thus made a little research with the aim to publish statistics on the
subject.
On May, 29 the Google Code Search query "file:/be\.po$" [1] returned 614 hits.
A little script [2] downloaded 456 .po files containing belarusian
translations. A tarball of these files is available at [3].
It was then a matter of another small scrit [4] to sort the translations by
the last translator and to uniquify the msgstrs.
SUMMARY
There is only a dozen of names in the list of last translators.
Most of the translations are associated with Ales Nyakhaychyk.
A vast majority of translations is indeed in tarasckeivica/classic/alternative
writing.
