Dear All,

While reading the comments about narkomauka vs. taraskievica, as well as the
compendium discussion, I realized that I am lacking statistics on the
Belarusian translation effort.

I thus made a little research with the aim to publish statistics on the
subject.

On May, 29 the Google Code Search query "file:/be\.po$" [1] returned 614 hits.

A little script [2] downloaded 456 .po files containing belarusian
translations. A tarball of these files is available at [3].

It was then a matter of another small scrit [4] to sort the translations by
the last translator and to uniquify the msgstrs.

                       SUMMARY

There is only a dozen of names in the list of last translators.

Most of the translations are associated with Ales Nyakhaychyk.

A vast majority of translations is indeed in tarasckeivica/classic/alternative
writing.

  Ales Nyakhaychyk.po	25840	taraskievica
  Alexey Ivaniuk aka Varjat.po	17	?
  Anastasya Larina.po	54	narkomauka
  Andrei Darashenka.po	565	narkomauka
  Automatically generated.po	475	?
  FULL NAME.po	299	?
  Hleb Rubanau.po	232	narkomauka
  Hleb Valoska.po	1469	?
  Ihar Hrachyshka.po	3658	taraskievica
  Ihar Viarheichyk.po	385	?
  Pavel Piatruk.po	1008	narkomauka

  Smaliakou Zmicier.po	1076	narkomauka
  szk.po	253	narkomauka
  unknown.po	633	?
  Vital Khilko.po	274	taraskievica

Please feel free to comment on the above stats and to improve them.
